STCW courses

Three STCW courses were structured in the scope of the project. An approval of the courses was requested to national bodies in Portugal and Norway. Depending on the approval, For-Mar and Simsea plan to start implementing the courses in 2024.

Courses available

Crowd management and safety training for personnel providing direct service to passengers in passenger spaces

  • To equip trainees with professional skills necessary for access, under the legally stipulated conditions, to the certificate crowd control and crew safety certificate that provide direct assistance to passengers
  • Contribute to the implementation of emergency plans and procedures on board to gather and evacuate passengers;
  • Assist passengers on their way to meeting points and stations abandoning the ship.
  • Communication with passengers during an emergency;
  • Demonstrate to passengers how to use life-saving devices individual;
  • Promote the boarding and disembarking of passengers, with special attention to people with disabilities or in need of special assistance.
